Quotable quotes:

  • “Promise things, but never where you’re going to stop.  Otherwise, you’ll never exceed the expectations of the person who has the ask for you.”

  • “None of us, not me, and not anybody on my team, is as critical as we think we are…the important thing is to know where you are that critical, and act appropriately. That’s where you have to invest your time….That’s where you have to show up in your best self…Literally, the only way you can do that is to not show up in some other places.”

  • “Disappointment is the difference between reality and expectation…I try to protect against disappointment…I don’t promise a lot, but what I promise I absolutely keep true at work, at home….”

  • “When something’s not going right, being able to course correct really really quickly is incredibly important…”
