Claudia McKay works as a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with the World Bank Group. She has lived in Oxford, Lilongwe (Malawi), Washington DC and now Nairobi while working to increase the value of financial services for people living in poverty. She currently leads a team across Africa that is helping to develop and scale mobile money services for the poor through engagement with financial service providers and policymakers.  She has also worked as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

 

Claudia holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. She is originally from Los Angeles and lives in Nairobi with her husband, two children, three dogs and five chickens.
